Classic French Toast

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • 8 slices of brioche bread

  • Unsalted butter (for cooking)

  • Maple syrup

  • Optional: powdered sugar, fruit


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until combined.

  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place bread in egg mixture and let it soak on both sides for 30 seconds.

  3. Melt butter in pan. Place bread on pan and cook both sides until golden brown.

  4. Serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fruit.
